View Migration Reports

The Migration Reports WebApp gives users quick access to their reports upon log in to the Stewardship Tier. Users can add reports to their own Favorite Reports page.

The WebApp also allows administrative users to easily grant user access to reports at the object level.

To view reports:

  • The user must be a Business Contact at the object level in Migration Reports, at the object level in Console or at the target level in Target Design.

  • The report must be published. Refer to Publish Reports for more information.

  • The report must have been executed and returned data.

Add Reports to the Favorite Reports Page

Users can add reports to which they have access to their Favorite Reports page using one of these methods.

To select reports from a list of all reports:

  1. Click Migration Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the All Reports icon for the object.

  3. Select the reports on the Published Reports page.

  4. Click the Add to Favorite icon in the Page toolbar.

To select reports from a list of error reports that have returned records:

  1. Click Migration Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Actionable Reports icon for the object.

    NOTE: Actionable reports are error reports with a non-zero record count. Report types for error reports are:

    • Error—Identifies reports that display data that must be fixed before it can be loaded into the target system.

    • Target Readiness—Identifies reports with data that cannot be loaded into the target system, such as a record missing required fields, invalid check table values, or a field with an incorrect number of decimal places. These records will either produce an error on load or load incorrectly. Records on these reports are probably excluded from the target export.

    • Business Readiness—Identifies reports with data that if loaded into the target system would decrease data quality or cause business errors in the data. This data could load into the target system (as in, loading this data would not cause errors). However, the data should not be loaded into the target system because it violates business rules.

  3. Select the reports on the Published Reports page.

  4. Click the Add to Favorite icon in the Page toolbar.

To select reports from a list of reports based on target:

  1. Click Migration Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Reports By Target icon for an object.

  3. Click the Reports icon for a target.

  4. Select the reports on the Published Reports page.

  5. Click the Add to Favorite icon in the Page toolbar.

To select reports from a list of reports based on report type:

  1. Click Migration Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Reports By Type icon for an object.

  3. Click the Reports icon for a report type.

  4. Select the reports on the Published Reports page.

  5. Click the Add to Favorite icon in the Page toolbar.

Remove Reports from the Favorite Reports Page

Users can remove reports from their own Favorite Reports page using one of these methods.

On the Favorite Reports page, select the report and click the Remove From Favorite icon in the Page toolbar.

To select reports to remove from a list of all reports:

  1. Click Migration Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the All Reports icon for the object.

  3. Select the reports on the Published Reports page.

  4. Click the Remove From Favorite icon in the Page toolbar.

To select reports to remove from a list of error reports that have returned records:

  1. Click Migration Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Actionable Reports icon for the object.

To select reports to remove from a list of reports based on report type:

  1. Click Migration Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Reports By Type icon for an object.

  3. Click the Reports icon for a report type.

  4. Select the reports on the Published Reports page.

  5. Click the Remove From Favorite icon in the Page toolbar.

View Reports

To view reports:

  • The user must be a Business Contact at the object level in Migration Reports, at the object level in Console or at the target level in Target Design.

To view a report on the Published Reports page:

  1. Click the Access Report icon to generate the report.

  2. Click the View Report icon.

Users can also download the report by clicking the Download a file icon, as well as view a record count of historical data by clicking the History icon.

View Favorite Reports

To view reports:

  • The user must be a Business Contact at the object level in Migration Reports, at the object level in Console or at the target level in Target Design.

  • The report must be published. Refer to Publish Reports for more information.

  • The report must have been executed and returned data.

The Favorite Reports page allows users to run, view and download a report, as well as view a record count of historical data.

Reports must be added to this page. Refer to Add Reports to the Favorite Reports Page for more information.

To view reports:

  1. Click Favorite Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Access Report icon to generate it.

    NOTE: If the report has not yet been generated, the GENERATE field displays the message “Click to Generate.” Once it has been generated, this field displays the date and time the report ran.

  3. Click the View Report icon to view the data.

Users can also download the report by clicking the Download a file icon and view a chart depicting a count of previous runs by clicking the History icon.

View Errors at the Object or Target Level

View errors on reports at the object level by clicking the Actionable Reports icon for an object on the Migration Reports page.

View all errors for a target on the Target All Errors Report, accessible through Migration Reports.

To view all errors for a target:

  1. Click Migration Reports in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Reports By Target icon for an icon.

  3. Click the Error Summary icon for a target.

  4. Click the Generate Report icon the Target Error Summary page

  5. Click the View Target All Errors Report icon.
